Applying the 7M Mandate

Date: 16 August 2008
Speaker: Dr. C. Peter Wagner
Venue: City Harvest Church

The 7M (mountains/ moulders of culture) Mandate: Religion, Family, Education, Media, Government, Arts and Entertainment, Business. If we want to change the society and culture, we must first conquer these 7 mountains.

Instead of leaving the other mountains and scaling the religion mountain, rise up in your mountain. People at the top of their mountain have got influence and dominion over their mountain. God wants us to take control of our mountain and let the values of the Kingdom of God be established in the society.

Titus 3:5
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

3 stages of renewal:

1) Awareness (renewing your mind)

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We have to go through a paradigm shift.

2) Identification (renewing your commitment)

3) Application (renewing your practice)

"Kingdom-minded" and "Kingdom-motivated" people are the people whom God is looking for.

Your mountain is your marketplace, what you do in your mountain is your ministry.

The religion mountain is like a nuclear church and the other 6 mountains are like extended churches.

By being at the top > Gaining respect from the peers > Gain the power to influence > Gain the power to change!

Spirituality determines your influence in the religion mountain, but it is success that determines your influence in the other 6 mountains. And money is what determines success, because this is what the world operates on.

Convergence Theory (to spend most of your time doing what you are good at and what you are supposed to do so as to maximise your potential.)

The best thing to do in life is to get rich. Wealth enables you to do what you want to do.

Set yourself a goal to have at least 5 different sources of income.

Transform, accumulate, dominate.

Constraint Theory (to discover your ceiling and analyse what keeps you under your ceiling.)

Eg. spiritual constraints, relational constraints, financial constraints, lifestyle, character, attitude, personality, geographical location, tithing and offering, curses.

Triangulation Theory (for 7M leaders to align themselves with apostles and prophets, and to have intercessors fighting for them in spiritual warfares)
