Exodus 17:8-13
Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. So Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

The power did not come though the rod, but through the man holding the rod. God does not work through methods, but through ordinary people to do His works.

Victory of a Church is through its congregation.

Servanthood is the key to breakthroughs and successes. And it takes security to serve.

4 areas we need to be secured in:

1) Self-image (how we see ourselves)

Our image is how we see ourselves in our imaginations. People who have good self image can have confidence yet humility. We conform to the image we have of ourselves. We need to have a revelation of God's image for we possess His blessings, powers and strength. How you see yourself will be how your life will be lived.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

2) Self-worth (how we value ourselves)

Gow knows every detail about you. You are worth His Son, for He sent His Son to die for you.

Romans 8:31-32
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

3) Self-esteem (how we feel about ourselves)

Proverbs 23:7
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

“ Eat and drink!” he says to you,
But his heart is not with you.

You make decisions by the feelings and emotions from your heart.

1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Encounters with God is so important. And faith only works by love.

4) Self-respect (how i honor my dignity)

We are children of the Most High God. We are royalties. We should live with a higher standard of morality and carry ourselves in a different way. not because of the Church, but because of the Father. We do not have to conform to the world.

Servanthood is not being servile. You do not have to humiliate others just to show that you are better. You do not have to win all the time.
